Build Your Network Before You Need It

by Casey Eberhart

One of the most effective tools for growing your business and attracting new clients is your network. The following three tactics can help you use your current network to draw in more business:

1. Tap into your referral network:

  • Leverage your satisfied customers: Request that your satisfied clients recommend you to their friends and relatives. Provide rewards or incentives to promote referrals. Ask only once you have EARNED it.
  • Partner with complementary businesses: Partner with companies who cater to a comparable customer but aren't your direct competitors. To reach more peo
  • Join industry associations: Making connections with other folks in your field through networking can result in collaborations and recommendations.

2. Utilize social media:

  • Share your content: Post insightful articles, blog entries, and other stuff on social media. Inspire others in your network to distribute your material.
  • Join relevant groups: Engage in discussions in industry-related online groups and communities. Connect with other members and share your knowledge. Keep yo
  • Connect with influencers: Make contact with influential people in your field and invite them to work with you on projects or to distribute your material.

3. Host networking events:

  • Organize industry events: Organize get-togethers for specialists in your field, such happy hours, webinars, and workshops.
  • Invite your network: Ask the people you already know to come to your events and bring their network with them. I like giving them incentives to invite people.
  • Follow up after the event: Thank each individual you met at the event with a handwritten or text message. You'll maintain your focus and forge closer bonds with others if you do this. I spend a minimum of 5 minutes each day texting people in my network. Honestly this is the best thing I do for my business!
You may expand your customer base and draw in new business by making the most of your current network.

Always remember to take care of your connections, add value to your network and treat them like the gold that they are!
