But it's more than simply accumulating business cards and expanding your LinkedIn network—it's about forging deep connections that may lead to possibilities for both parties. Maintaining relationships with your network may provide your company a competitive advantage in the fast-paced world of today. These are four practical strategies to keep those important relationships strong.

1. Regular, Personalized Communication

Maintaining a regular and customized communication stream with your network is one of the easiest but most powerful methods to keep in touch. Having a continuous touchpoint is essential, whether it be by a brief phone contact, text message, or email check-in.

It helps a lot to personalize your communications. To demonstrate that you respect the relationship, make reference to current talks or common interests rather than sending impersonal communications.
